LabPixies and Conquering the Wonderful World of Widgets
When the company started in March 2006, their products worked solely on an iGoogle platform, but today they have expanded their compatibility capabilities to include such formats as NetVibes, Live.com, iPhone, Orkut, MySpace, Hi5, My Yahoo, Facebook, Android and others.
A growing community of over 40 million users worldwide enjoy: Odeo Podcasts, Flickr Slides, Techblogs, Calorie Calculator, NY Times Crossword and countless other widgets for web content and further technology.
Recently Google added LabPixies along with another Israeli start-up, 6rounds as featured extensions for the Google Wave platform. LabPixies provided a gaming platform of highly competitive Sudoku games.
A smart investment, LabPixies which has raised as much as $1 million in angel funding to date, competes with the likes of: Widgetbox, Slide, RockYou, Gigya, Goowy and Clearspring.
The company has 10 employees and is managed by CEO Ran Ben-Yair, VP Oded Poncz, Creative Director Udi Graff and VP of Business Development, Nir Tzemah.
