איך למות תדמיתית מידי YouTube ולקוח מעוצבן
the small boys and the big body builders have equal opportunity to get their word out. Prospect really is at everyone’s doorstep, and that means, don’t mess with the little guy anymore. He’s got marketing power, and that may get you hurt.
If anyone had any doubts as to the power of online marketing and PR, take the case of Dave Carroll, a musician whose guitar he says was broken by irresponsible baggage handlers throwing it around—a scene he caught himself on the tarmac and took it to United for compensation.
As most corporations tend to do, they ignored him because he didn’t have a weasel-breathed lawyer to threaten them with technical-sounding letters sent via registered mail about impending legal action involving deadlines and such. But who needs that when you’ve got YouTube, a bit of musical talent, and 2.5 million viewers (and counting)?
Though I am not a musician myself, I like the idea of hiring one to pursue my legal options instead of a lawyer. I’m sure we can all agree that a music video is a lot more fun than registered mail threats. It’s just better on society that way, and if you’ve got the creativity, it can be lot more effective. United is now discussing this video internally to improve customer service in the future. The world has been slightly repaired.
